ECOMONDO 2024 – THE COMMITMENT BETWEEN TECNOGEN AND VOLVO PENTA TOWARDS SUSTAINABLE TRANSITION.

November 4-7, 2024. At Ecomodno, Europe’s leading event for the Green Economy, Tecnogen, representing BGG Spa, proudly presents its sustainable solution, the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). This innovation is the result of a collaboration with Volvo Penta, Volvo Trucks Italia, and Volvo Construction Equipment Italia, supporting the charging infrastructure for electric vehicles as part of a shared journey toward net-zero emissions.

This partnership exemplifies how expertise and innovation are driving the energy transition.

This partnership exemplifies how expertise and innovation are driving the energy transition. The BESS technology is a key enabler, bridging the gap between critical energy demands and renewable energy sources. It plays a fundamental role in meeting the growing need for robust charging infrastructure, which is essential for the widespread adoption of electric vehicles and industrial applications.

The BESS, entirely manufactured at BGG facilities, is a 10′ HC container equipped with 6 Volvo Penta NCA batteries delivering 560 kVA, a 150 kW bidirectional Powertronix inverter, a CCS2 150 kW vehicle charger, and a 30 kW solar charger.

It was showcased at Ecomondo in its 2.0 version, following its debut at last year’s edition of the event.

Ecomondo also provided an opportunity for Renato Bruno and Giorgio Paris, CEO and Co-CEO of BGG, to meet with Volvo Penta’s top management. Present at the event were Anders Konradsson, Vice President of Industrial Sales, and Hannes Norrgren, President of the Industrial Business Unit. Additionally, the technical and commercial teams from both companies engaged in direct discussions about future strategies.

Together, we’re powering the transition to a sustainable, electrified world.
